Job Celebration and Passport Troubles
Well, we woke up this morning to some great news--Liz got accepted for a position at an international school in Chiang Rai teaching music! We have been in communication with the school (Chiang Rai International School) for a few months now, and it was a relief to finally hear from them AND for us to get the position.
This is great news, not only because Liz will get to continue teaching the subject she is passionate about, but also because it cuts down the money we will need to raise in order to live, work, and serve in Thailand. In addition to that celebration, we also received an annoying e-mail from the government about my passport that is going to cause a little stress (although I am not sure how much yet). My passport was damaged when we went to Thailand in 2013 to get married, so apparently I am not applicable for a normal passport renewal, but, instead, I have to go through a different process--and probably pay even more money--to get the situation dealt with so I can fly out of the country.
This is not a huge deal, but I am a tiny bit worried about the extra cost and the extra time it will take for them to process my passport because of this. So, that's something you can pray for. Again, we appreciate your support SO much. This is not an exaggeration: we cannot do what we are dreaming of without God moving the hearts of our supporters. You are an integral part of this process.
